Inspired by her beloved dog Santiago, who faced a serious illness, Belinda's dedication to senior dog rescue, education, and advocacy came to life. Our sanctuary is a haven for senior dogs, offering them love, comfort, nutrition, and medical care. Meet Belinda, the heart behind This Ole Dog Rescue. After dedicating 30 years to real estate, Belinda's life took a transformative turn in 2019 when she provided round-the-clock care for her mother, who battled dementia. This experience ignited a deep commitment to kindness and caring for others. After her mother's passing in April 2021, Belinda's reflection led her to embark on a new journey – one devoted to rescuing senior and hospice dogs. This parallel journey of caregiving, from her mother's side to the loving embrace of senior dogs, embodies the spirit of empathy and devotion that defines This Ole Dog Rescue.
This Ole Dog Rescue is on a heartfelt mission with two main objectives. Firstly, we are here to provide a final, loving home to senior and hospice dogs who have been abandoned, surrendered by their families, or left after the death of their loved ones. Our commitment includes offering them a soft bed, a warm home, good nutrition, essential medical care, and, most importantly, an abundance of love and affection.
Secondly, we are dedicated to educating and inspiring our community to become advocates for these wise and wonderful animals. We specialize in rescuing senior dogs from difficult circumstances, ensuring they receive the love, care, and comfort they deserve in their golden years. Our devoted team provides top-notch medical care, proper nutrition, and a warm, safe environment for each senior dog in our care.
